While surgery may address the underlying condition, many patients continue to face challenges with <strong>mobility, balance, strength<\/strong> and <strong>confidence<\/strong> during recovery. At the start of her rehabilitation journey, she experienced <strong>significant muscle weakness, poor balance and coordination<\/strong>, and <strong>difficulty standing<\/strong>. <strong>Walking required assistance<\/strong>, and she lacked confidence in her movements due to fear of falling<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>During <strong>sit to stand movements<\/strong>, she demonstrated <strong>knee valgus (knee collapse inward)<\/strong>, indicating <strong>poor lower limb control<\/strong> and making transfers unstable and unsafe without assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simple daily activities became challenging. Even getting to the <strong>toilet safely required assistance<\/strong>. Tasks such as walking around the house, climbing stairs, and carrying out household activities were difficult, affecting not only her physical abilities but also her <strong>independence<\/strong> and <strong>confidence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognising her individual needs, a personalised <strong>physiotherapy rehabilitation programme<\/strong> was developed to help her regain <strong>strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence<\/strong>. Rehabilitation focused on <strong>strengthening exercises<\/strong>, <strong>balance and coordination training, gait re-education, stair training, and functional activities<\/strong> designed to support everyday living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recovery did not happen overnight. Progress came through consistent effort, regular physiotherapy sessions, and her determination. Step by step, improvements began to emerge. Over time, her <strong>movement quality, strength, and confidence<\/strong> gradually improved, allowing her to progress to more independent functional activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most meaningful aspects of her recovery was regaining <strong>independence in daily life<\/strong>.
